4 folks have been killed and 14 injured when a strong earthquake of 6.1-magnitude struck Ya’an metropolis in China’s quake-prone southwestern Sichuan province, information company PTI reported citing native officers.

The quake rattled Lushan County of Ya’an metropolis at 5 pm native time, in response to the China Earthquake Networks Centre, or CENC.

Ya’an activated the second-highest stage of emergency response for the earthquake and is conducting injury assessments.
